Description
The National Defense Appropriation Act (NDAA) for FY2011 provided the Department of Defense (DoD) with the authorities and funds to facilitate the rapid insertion of innovative technologies into military systems or programs meeting critical national security needs. It is primarily for the transition of technologies developed by small businesses, including those resulting from the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program and DoD-reimbursed Independent Research and Development (IR&D).
