This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Program. CESUs are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be a participating partner of the Great Rivers CESU.

Description

The US Geological Survey, MI Water Science Center, is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner to further collaboration among a team of hydrodynamic and sediment and oil transport modelers in the development of better models to simulate the suspension, transport, and deposition of residual submerged oil in a riverine system associated with the Enbridge Line 6B heavy oil release to the Kalamazoo River in July 2010.
