ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION
Eligible Applicants
Assistance will be provided only to the Egypt Ministry of Health and Populations (MOH). No other applications are solicited. The MOH is the most appropriate and qualified agency to conduct the activities specified under this cooperative agreement. The MOH is the only organization in Egypt that possesses the legal authority and primary responsibility within the Egyptian government to address public health issues and implement these activities at government entities. Additionally, the MOH has collaborated with CDC for many years as a key partner on a variety of public health projects. These combined attributes make them uniquely qualified as the only organization eligible in Egypt to implement the activities proposed in this cooperative agreement.

The Center for Global Health (CGH) of HHS/CDC is committed to achieving the health promotion and disease prevention objectives of “Healthy People 2020” and to measuring program performance as stipulated by the Government Performance and Review Act (GPRA). This FOA addresses “Healthy People 2020” priority areas of Global Health and Public Health Infrastructure and is in alignment with HHS/CDC performance goals to protect Americans from infectious diseases by providing global health promotion, health protection, and health diplomacy.
