Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD, AND THERE IS NO "FULL ANNOUNCEMENT" ASSOCIATED WITH THIS NOTICE. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service expects to award the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries $8,400 to assist in the implementation of the National Management Plan for the Northern Snakehead. The State will assess the spread and threat of this invasive species in the Potomac River and tributaries through continuation of creel surveys at designated boat ramps in Virginia. Collected data will be analyzed and reported to the Service to assist in controlling the snakehead population and managing native fisheries.
