Description
The DoD seeks prospective clinical studies examining the effects of tranexamic acid in the treatment of patients with traumatic hemorrhage. Applications for the Combat Casualty Care Research Program are being solicited by the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, Defense Health Program. The Combat Casualty Care Research Program provides resources for advances in biotechnology research administered by the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), located at Fort Detrick, Maryland. With this Program Announcement/Funding Opportunity, the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) is seeking to fund biotechnology research that culminates in outcomes and technologies that may qualify as advanced development activities within the Department of Defense (DoD).
The results of the research funded through this Program Announcement/Funding Opportunity are expected to increase the body of knowledge available to professionals and practitioners in health, medical science and related fields. The research impact is expected to benefit both civilian and military communities.
