Grants.gov is organized into tabs based on both the process and user type. In Grants.gov, you may also use the quick search function to find the grant opportunity or content you are looking for. In the top-right corner of Grants.gov are links for logging in, registering, and accessing this online help.
Home - Provides quick access to system updates, training resources, blog posts, and other grants information.
Learn Grants - Links users to the Grants Learning Center (GLC), which provides grants lifecycle, policy, and other grants management-related information.
Search Grants - Directs users to the Search page. Here, you can perform keyword or faceted search for funding opportunities. Using the Search Grants tab, grantors can confirm that their agency’s new or modified opportunities are successfully displayed. The screen default will display all open and forecasted opportunities sorted by posted date in descending order.
Applicants - Contains the applicant-specific functionality and resources within the Grants.gov website. The Applicants tab directs users to the Applicant Center, which lists the different Applicant Actions and Resources links depending on the user’s roles and login status.
Grantors - Contains the functionality and resources for federal grant-making agencies and its users. The Grantors tab directs users to the Grantor Center, which lists different Grantor Actions and Resources links depending on the user’s roles and login status. Within the Grantors tab, users post grant opportunities, publish and retrieve grant applications, and access resources specifically for grant-making agencies.
System-to-System - Details the Applicant and Grantor System-to-System interface to implement and perform Grants.gov functions. If your grant-making agency is interested in using the Grantor S2S, click on the Grantor System-to-System link for prerequisites and instructions on how to get started.
Forms - Contains active federal forms for creating grant application packages. The Forms menu provides links to the Form Families, Retired Forms, Forms Status Report, the Forms Process, and more. Grants.gov requires users to open and save PDF forms using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Note: Forms in this tab are for information only and cannot be submitted with your application package. Forms in this tab cannot be accessed via an Internet browser, but, when applying using Workspace, Grants.gov features online webforms that are accessible via an Internet browser.
Connect - Provides a variety of ways for users to subscribe to funding opportunities, save searches, and subscribe to email updates from Grants.gov. Subscribe to Blog.Grants.gov and follow us on Twitter @grantsdotgov.
Support - Provides contact information and resources for using Grants.gov. Find information about Grants.gov, upcoming releases, and maintenance outages. The Grants.gov PMO page provides the Grants.gov Program Advisors Contact list.
From any Grants.gov screen, users can perform a keyword search for funding opportunities or website content in the top-right corner of the page.
How to Perform a Keyword Search for Grant Funding Opportunities
Enter a keyword or funding opportunity number (FON) in the Search bar.
Note: The Grant Opportunities option is set by default. Select the Grant Opportunities option from the drop-down menu, if you have previously performed a content search.
Click the Go button.
Review the search results that appear on the Search Grants page. The search results for grant opportunities directs you to the Search Grants tab. For explanations on more advanced search criteria, review the Search Grants help article.
How to Perform a Keyword Search of Grants.gov Website Content
The Site Content search allows users to locate Grants.gov information about the grants lifecycle, frequently asked questions, system-to-system (S2S) technical documentation, and any other text not associated with grant opportunities.
Select the Site Content option from the drop-down menu.
Enter a keyword.
Click the Go button.
Review the search results that appear on the Search Site page.
Filter the search results by selecting an option from the Filter By column to narrow your search results.
